Woman Leaves From Work Early Citing ‘Family Emergency’ To Watch IPL, Gets Captured On Camera

During IPL season, office hours mysteriously shrink faster than regular days. Suddenly, family “emergencies” crop up and “sudden illnesses” spread quicker than gossip. But we all know the real reason behind this workplace vanishing act – cricket fever! Whether it’s the roar of the stadium or the comfort of the couch, nothing can keep die-hard fans away from their beloved matches.

However, one woman got caught while trying to pull off such a non-existent family “emergency”. She left the office early citing a “family emergency” to watch Royal Challengers Bangalore on the field during IPL 2024. However, she was caught on camera by the cameramen at the stadium and was telecasted live on television.

Her manager went on to ping her and sarcastically asked if she was an RCB fan because their performance left her clearly disappointed.

“I saw you with a very worried expression when they missed a catch while fielding yesterday,” the manager wrote.

Here’s a look at their conversation.

The woman shared a video of the hilarious incident on Instagram and captioned it, “Moye moye getting real day by day.”

Dear managers, next time your colleague rushes out with a suspicious cough or a vague family crisis, just smile knowingly because, in India, cricket isn’t just a sport, it’s a way of life! 😛
