2 Rasgullas Were Responsible For Calling Off A Wedding In UP. Yes, This Happened For Real!

Over the years we have heard of instances where weddings have been called off for various bizarre reasons. From Ice Cream shortage to chicken biryani being served instead of mutton! Unbelievable, right? But what you will read now is sure to top that list.

A wedding in Kurmapur village in Unnao district, about 70 km’s from Lucknow was called off over RASGULLAS! Yes, you heard that right.

 

The groom’s baraat was welcomed at the bride’s house with all the customs. Since it was late, the groom’s father requested that dinner be served as soon as the functions were concluded.

 

The bride’s relative at the sweet stall was instructed to serve only one rasgulla per baraati but when the groom’s cousin served himself two, it created a problem. And then began World War 3!

 

The wedding venue looked like a battlefield where food fight ensued. The bride watched the whole episode from her balcony and was angry to see her father get beaten up so she decided to call off the wedding.

A police complaint has been lodged by the bride’s father and the cops are investigating the matter.

Well, rasgulla sure added a lot of ras (interest) to this wedding! Excuse me for the bad pun.
