Indian skipper Virat Kohli’s undying appetite for runs and the unstoppable habit of smashing records have seen him at the pinnacle of the cricketing world. However, apart from the likes of Steve Smith, Joe Root, and Kane Williamson, if there is any other cricketer Virat is compared to, it has to be Pakistani top-order batsman, Babar Azam.
But as far as Azam is concerned, he has rubbished all comparisons terming the Indian number 18 as a much superior player. Heaping praise on Virat, Azam mentioned that the Indian skipper already has a cabinet full of accomplishments while his career is just about to take off.
“People compare me to Virat Kohli all the time. According to me he is a great player and I am nowhere near him. My career has just begun.”
“He’s achieved a lot. I still have to do that. If my performances are up to that level then you can compare (our performances) but right now there’s no comparison.”
