Comedian Hilariously Sums Up The Entire ‘Padmaavat’ Controversy With A ‘Tota’ Story

Padmaavat has gone through quite a roller coaster ride, I think we all agree! From vandalising the sets, burning effigies and the cast having a bounty on their heads- this Sanjay Leela Bhansali film has seen close to everything. I mean even a dead body was found hanging with a message of ‘Padmaavat Ka Virodh‘, for God’s sake!

Tired of this whole crazy controversy? So is Varun Grover! In his latest stand up comedy video, Padmaavat & The Parrot, he explains the 16th-century poem Padmavat written by Malik Muhammad Jayasi. Grover, of course, interprets the tale in the way he knows best- taking sarcastic digs at everyone. From the Karni Sena to Shahid Kapoor and the  Padmavati name change, no one and nothing is spared from the comic’s hilarious jibes!

Be it Deepika’s majestic looks, the extravagant sets, Padmaavat has had everyone talking. Unfortunately, though it has garnered more attention for the wrong reasons. But finally, it’s hitting the theatres near you. And if like me you just can’t wait, then this is the perfect solution for you! Grover nails his sardonic punches but the ones for the parrot are the funniest. Don’t know who that is, watch the video to find out!
