Mumbai Trans Auto Driver’s Heartwarming Story Goes Viral & Love Pours In From Social Media!

Due to the existing homophobia in this world and a regressive mindset, our society has always been cruel to transgenders. It is a fact that the daily struggles of these innocent human beings are far greater when compared to ours. It is an absolute pity that most of us fail to understand that transgenders are nothing but humans like us and deserve to be treated with respect.

However, Facebook user Poonam Kachi’s conversation with a transgender auto-driver on the streets of Mumbai is a portrayal of the truth.

Poonam met auto-driver, Manju, while taking a ride in her auto. Poonam was surprised to see Manju’s long nails which had pink coloured nail polish. A conversation between the two started when Poonam asked Manju,

‘Itna lamba nakhoon‘?

“Such Long nails?”

To this, Manju replied that she is preparing for the festival of Eid.

“Didi, Eid ki taiyaari kar rahi hoon.”

“SISTER, I AM PREPARING FOR EID”

Manju went on to reveal that she lives with her boyfriend and drives an auto for a living. She added that she was once fired from a hotel where she used to work because of her sexual orientation.

She has been an auto driver for the past 5 years but still faces difficulties in her profession for being a transgender. She expressed how she has to wrap up her work by 11 PM as there are people who allegedly tease and trouble her late at night.
