If I could choose one important lesson that Phoebe Buffay has taught me, it’s this – dating two people at the same time is a horrible idea. Not only is it extremely energy-consuming (imagine planning separate dates, talking on the phone constantly, and keeping the entire thing a secret!) but at the end of the day, someone’s heart gets broken.
However, this wasn’t the case with one man from Telangana who recently got married to two women in the same mandap!
According to TOI, Arjun first fell in love with his aunt’s daughter, Usha Rani, and they had an affair. However, as their relationship continued, Arjun also fell in love with the daughter of another aunt, Surekha, and had an affair, reports India Today. Both relationships continued for 4 years yet, none of the girls knew about each other.
But when Arjun’s parents decided to get him married, he had to reveal his secret. At this point, one would expect there to be TV serial-worthy drama. But no. Both girls were ready to get married to him and Arjun had no problem as well!
“Since it was acceptable to both the girls and there was no objection from his parents and families of the girls, we went ahead with the marriage,” said a member of their community.
The wedding took place in a village named Ghanpur in Telangana. Both brides were dressed in traditional wedding attire. None of the relatives had a problem with the marriage as it is apparently a common practice for a man to get married to two women in Adivasi culture.
“Both the girls wanted to get married to him and had no issues being wives to the same man,” a community leader said.

What an unusual arrangement, don’t you think?
