We are living in a world where the youth has been so acclimatised to violence that they do not stop to think twice before resorting to the most extreme form of violence to settle their personal rivalries and feuds.
This is exactly what happened when a student shot his classmate in the classroom of an Industrial Training Institute in Sonipat on Friday. The whole incident was fortunately recorded in the CCTV footage, which incriminates the duo which shot the victim in the back.
Police said that the crime was a result of an old rivalry between the victim and the accused. One of the boys had brought a country-made pistol hidden in his bag and used it to shoot the victim later. Both the boys are 17-year-olds, who fled from the spot after shooting the victim as seen in the CCTV footage.
The boys are absconding and have been booked under attempt to murder. The victim was rushed to a hospital in Sonipat and later transferred to another one in Rohtak. He is critically injured and is undergoing treatment.

The youth has been so desensitized to violence that they completely forget to weigh the consequences of their actions before taking up the path of crime. We hope the investigation will bring some concrete results.
