If we take a look at the box office collections made by a Salman Khan film, we would get a fair idea about the superstar’s stardom and his popularity among fans. Needless to say, Salman enjoys an absoluteLY crazy fanbase which includes people who would not stand a word against their idol and can cross any limit, if need be.
And that’s exactly what happened with Sona Mohapatra, who received a death threat from one such fan, for her tweet against ‘Bhai’.
Ever since Priyanka Chopra opted to walk out from ‘Bharat’, Salman Khan has been taking digs at the actress at the film’s promotions. “Thank you, Priyanka” videos have been trending on the internet as a result. Sona Mohapatra, who has also previously spoken against Salman on a number of occasions, chose to comment and stood up for Priyanka. She tweeted, Taking Priyanka’s side, she chose to comment and stood up for Priyanka. She tweeted,
“Cus @priyankachopra has better things to do in life, real men to hang out with & more importantly, girls to inspire with her journey.”
And guess what? According to News18, Sona’s tweet did not go down well with fans, one of whom sent the musician a death threat. The 42-year-old shared the screenshot of the threat on Twitter and mentioned that she is not bothered by these warnings as they have become a part of her daily schedule.
Such & such mails come my way regularly , from the followers of this ‘hero’ of bad behaviour. 👇🏾This beacon of ‘human’ values who inspires such serial toxic behaviour is actually claiming the title of #Bharat , drawing parallels with our great nation, nothing lesser. @NCWIndia pic.twitter.com/8cxH6vtZyg

Her first tweet was followed by another tweet which asked the countrymen to show these gangs “inspired by Bhai”, their real place.
Dear India, please be introduced to this band & gang of ‘inspired by bhai’, bullies, threat giving goons & general scum. Let’s tell them & show them their real place in a civilised, learning society; the dustbin. 👇🏾🧚🏿♀️🔴 https://t.co/XJwEPGtK7N

While there is no harm in following a superstar, sending across threats to others to prove your fandom is sheer madness.
