. Moreover, it’s even more heroic and brave when the life you save is of your own mother or family member. A 10-year-old boy prevented his mother from taking the extreme step recently in Delhi.
According to an NDTV report, the 31-year-old woman headed to Inderlok metro station in Delhi along with her two children, a 10-year old son, and 12-year-old daughter. She started approaching the railway track along with her two kids.
She allegedly wanted to commit suicide but her son somehow managed to wriggle out from her grip. He immediately rushed to the CISF personals in the metro station and informed them about his mother’s intentions.
The CISF team rushed to the spot and brought the woman to the control room from where she was handed over to the Delhi police. She was then interrogated by the cops. The woman reportedly said that her husband works in Australia and her landlord has been sexually harassing her in her husband’s absence.
The woman also alleged that she had earlier filed a complaint about the same at Moti Nagar police station in Delhi but no action was taken. So she decided to end her life along with her children.
The case was handed over to Delhi metro rail police for further investigation in the matter.
A 10-year-old’s prompt action and presence of mind helped him save his mother and sister’s life. Hats off to him for his bravery and vigilance.
