In A Heartening Move, Snoop Dogg Wants To Adopt Snoop The Dog Who Was Abandoned By His Owner

Practically speaking, the transition from December 31st to January 1st is just like going from one day to another. There’s nothing magical that’s supposed to happen as the clock strikes 12, except for the fact that you might get a day off.

Then why do we celebrate and wish everyone a “happy new year”? Well, because everyone’s souls run on hope and those well wishes gives us a boost of energy that the previous year had sucked away. And we’ve an injection of hope ready for you, thanks to Snoop Dogg.

In 2018, dog lovers cried their hearts out after seeing the video of a Staffordshire bull terrier being abandoned by his owner at Timor Grove and Pacific Road in Trentham, England.

The dog was eventually rescued by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) and renamed Snoop. In addition to that, he was given shelter at one of the institution’s kennels, while they searched for his owner.

While the search for the heartless owner is on, Snoop Dogg (yes, the one and only) has stepped in to adopt Snoop. According to the Daily Mail, he said,

“There is always room for another dog in Casa de Snoop. If he really needed a home then he has one with us.”

That said, Snoop Dogg isn’t the only one who has offered to give him a home. BBC presenter Sue Perkins and political journalist Andrew Neil have volunteered to adopt lovely Snoop over here. However, RSPCA inspector Natalie Perehovsky has said that he’s not ready for rehoming yet, but she’ll let everyone know as soon as he is.

While the thought of Snoop the dog living with the Snoop Dogg has a nice ring to it, I think everyone will be happy if he’s adopted by anyone with a heart. So, let’s hope the RSPCA can quicken the proceedings and make 2019 a happy year for both Snoop and his future owner.
