Guy Says Female Comics In India Only Joke About Bra, Boobs And Period. Gets Buried!

Sexism is very much a part of our daily narrative even now. Especially on social media, people feel that it is okay to hide behind screens and say anything they wish. Their comments are laced with sometimes sublime and other times very blatant misogynist messages.

This Twitter user, Kewal tried to take a dig at female comedians in India. He said that women have only a few topics they talk about and their comedy routines are limited to that.

Yeah, outrageous right? Also, I don’t know which comedians he watches but all the ones I follow speak up on so much more.

Users then took it upon themselves to educate this man. Female comics and tweepeople called him out and thrashed him back for his statement.

1. “So I masturbate…”

2. Every male comic (and YoYo Honey Singh song) ever.

3. Men talk about women during their sets too.

4. “I was so single bro, and then I was still single bro.”

5. Epic!

6. That plug though!

20. *insert gaali here*

21. Radhika Vaz always has something up her sleeve.

22. Thanks for noticing.

23. That’s probably what he was thinking.

What I’m celebrating is that men and women are both calling him out for his sexist comment and it isn’t a one gender fight. Yes, people made generalisations in response to his tweet about male comics, but sometimes things get too frustrating.

I really think people need to think hard before putting their opinions on a public platform. When a person tries to put one gender down, it is heartening to see people unite as humans to call him out.
