Sehwag’s sixes and fours are a thing of legend. And no, we aren’t just talking about his game-changing, record-breaking antics on the cricket field! While his magic with the bat wins matches, his outright hilarious, sometimes savage statements on Twitter end up winning our hearts.
Remember when he had an amazing reply to Sachin Tendulkar’s unique birthday wish for him? Or the time he schooled British journalist Piers Morgan for taking a dig at him after India lost the Women’s World Cup final to England?
Well, Viru Paji is back with the funnies on Twitter! And someone else has joined in on the fun this time!
Last night was the first match of the India-New Zealand series and the crowd at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, witnessed some spectacular play. But despite Kohli’s 31st ton in his 200th ODI, the Kiwis won by six wickets, thanks majorly to a stellar 200-run partnership between Ross Taylor and Tom Latham.
Viru Paji took to Twitter to congratulate his former Delhi Daredevils teammate in his typical candour!
Well played @RossLTaylor Darji ji . Great effort after handling the pressure of Diwali orders .#indvsnz
— Virender Sehwag (@virendersehwag) October 22, 2017
If you’re wondering what are the ‘Diwali orders’ Sehwag is referring to, the clue is in Ross Taylor’s last name and how Sehwag is calling him Darji ji.
Taylor… Darji ji… Tailor! Geddit????
Well, the real fun began when Darji ji decided to reply to Viru Paji in surprisingly shuddh Hindi!
Thanks @virendersehwag bhai agli Baar Apna order time pe Bhej dena so Mai Apko agli Diwali ke pehle deliver kardunga ….happy Diwali
— Ross Taylor (@RossLTaylor) October 23, 2017
In a adorable reply, Tailor… oops… Taylor asked Sehwag bhai to send his order on time so that he could stitch and deliver it way before next Diwali!
If this exchange wasn’t hilarious enough, the conversation moved on to some ‘serious’ tailoring business. Sehwag has already placed his order with Masterji and how!
Hahaha Masterji , is saal waali patloon hi ek bilaang choti karke dena next diwali pe. Ross the Boss, most sporting 🙂 https://t.co/FNpAwrWCB4
— Virender Sehwag (@virendersehwag) October 23, 2017
Calling your tailor Masterji is basically all of us!
And indeed, just like Sehwag remarked, Ross ‘the Boss’ Taylor quite sportingly inquired about Sehwag’s Darji and his form!
Has your Darji not done a good job this Diwali 😜?
— Ross Taylor (@RossLTaylor) October 23, 2017
Taylor isn’t called one of the best players to come out of NZ for nothing! Look at the dedication towards his… er… job!
But give it up for Viru Paji for perfectly fusing Taylor’s stitching and batting prowess in one single epic tweet!
No one can match up to your high standards of stitching Darji ji , whether it is a pant or a partnership @RossLTaylor https://t.co/WDInvXL4EW
— Virender Sehwag (@virendersehwag) October 23, 2017
When it comes to compliments, Viru Paji simply hits it out of the stadium, doesn’t he? But tell you what? Ross Taylor might just be the Masterji of our dreams!
He tweeted the sweetest thing, still playing along with the charade!
Thanks viru for your kind words . Do let me know if you want anything to be stitched ?? 😉 See u in Delhi
— Ross Taylor (@RossLTaylor) October 23, 2017
Well well well, looks like Masterji Ross Tailor is still taking orders and after Sehwag’s endorsement, he’s going to be flooded with them!
Of course, Twitter had a gala time following this fun banter between the two cricketing stars!
1. Good? Try epic!

5. Dravid + Sehwag = Ross Taylor?
Thought Taylor is NZ's dravid didn't knew he have some flavours of sehwag too😂
— Agent R. (@AgentRajveer) October 23, 2017
People even suspected that Masterji was secretly being helped by NZ cricketer of Indian origin, Ish Sodhi! Smart peeps, y’all!
I bet you're with Ish Sodhi right now 😉

Well, whatever it may be, we just love it when players from different teams show us what true sportsmanship is, and that too in such a fun and endearing way!
As for Viru Paji and his tweets, we are not worthy!
