You probably know everything about the show. You know he had an obnoxious nephew named Scrappy. Then there was Shaggy, a hippie pothead, Fred who probably had a thing with Daphne and Velma who was prone to losing her glasses.

Although Scooby was very entertaining with his cowardice, humor and desire to eat, he and his gang also taught us some valuable life lessons.

Here are 10 lessons that we can learn from Scooby-Doo. Press the down arrow key and take a walk down memory lane.

1. Don’t trust strangers

Probably, Scooby and his gang solved more mysteries than Sherlock Holmes. They always knew the ghost would wind up being a guy in a rubber mask. But the tricky part was to figure out who wore the mask. We were never quite sure until the credits rolled, which proved to be a strong message – Never trust strangers completely, even if they offer you a Scooby snack.

2. Everyone needs a Scooby Snack

A Scooby snack is something you would do anything for. Your Scooby snack can be anything. It might be a person or a career or a religion. Life can be hard at times but no matter what you have to defeat them for your Scooby snack.

3. ‘Let’s split up, gang.’

Sometimes we cannot accomplish all tasks on our own. As Freddie always used to say, ‘Let’s split up, gang.’ By splitting up, they used to solve the most baffling mysteries with ease.

4. Everyone has something to offer

If you’re not the muscle, the brains or the money of the group, don’t worry. You’re still important…because you’re the bait.

5. What makes you different, makes you ‘different’

Scooby had a speech disorder, but instead of being seen as a flaw, it was accepted as a part of him. Not only was his character very powerful but also this was a very uplifting message.

6. There’s no such thing as monsters

Though the monsters and supernatural creatures are terrifying, it’s revealed at the end of the show that they are nothing more than regular people in scary disguises. So, things aren’t always as bad as they seem.

7. A friend in need is a friend indeed

Loyalty is one of the most important aspects of friendship. Being a good friend means a loyal companion. Regardless of the circumstances, Scooby-Doo sticks by his best friend Shaggy.

8. Sometimes we can’t see what’s right in front of us

Velma used to say she was ok, despite being surrounded by monsters. Sometimes we need to put on our glasses to see people and certain situations. We need to convince ourselves that not everything is a problem or a ‘monster’.

9. The villain is always the last person you’d suspect
