To tell you the truth, I am terrified of power cuts! Imagine being on an elevator and suddenly it comes to halt with the lights out – wouldn’t that freak you out? So Riteish Deshmukh having a panic attack after a particular airport suffered a power cut is totally justified!
Actor Riteish Deshmukh recently took on Twitter to narrate a not so pleasant situation he faced at Hyderabad airport. He tweeted how he was stuck at the airport lounge after the power went off.
Posting a short video of the scenario, he wrote, “So we were at the Hyderabad Airport Lounge – suddenly the power goes off- the way in & out is an elevator that shuts down. The only exit door is locked in a chain (Incase of FIRE it’s a tragedy waiting to happen).”
Asking the airport officials to “wake up”, he went on to show how the exit gate was chained and claimed that they cannot be locked in case of an emergency.

However, Hyderabad airport officials were quick to respond to his tweets and ensured him that there was nothing worry about. They claimed that in case of emergency, the glass doors can be broken and that in the above set up, the key to the lock was kept in a box beside the gate.
Hi Riteish, thank you for your valuable observation. In the current set up, there is a manual lock – the key is placed in a box next to the glass door and can be accessed in case of an emergency. (1/2)

Seems the airport handle replied to you stating the glass door can be broken in case of emergency. Jugaad baaz Tod fod innovative answers.@RGIAHyd Either it is exit door or it is not. If it is not then remove the exit sign & door handles. But do privide alternative exit door!
