As kids, we hardly understand people’s intentions toward us. But our instincts and subconscious mind always helped us differentiate between right and wrong. But were we bold enough to say ‘No’ to our elders? I wasn’t. And this lack of confidence got us in several situations that have scared us till now.

From consent to privacy, this is what they had in mind.
Sharing pics of their kids on social media.
Often told to ‘grow up’.
Not protecting kids from derogatory comments from others.
The right to make mistakes.
Raised without biased notions.
 Not letting them explore their personalities.
Right to express negative feelings.
To be heard.
Right to choose.
I second most of these. Not teaching kids to say no, expecting them to act like adults, and comparing them with other kids are the worst things parents can do for their kids.
