Ranveer Singh Just Pulled A Vivek Oberoi By Comparing His ‘Khilji’ To Heath Ledger’s Joker!

It takes a truly iconic anti-hero to turn a hero-worshiping audience into die-hard fans. Ranveer Singh’s Alauddin Khilji from the (hopefully) soon to be released Padmavati has already begun catching people’s fancy. But it’s safe to say that he still has a lot to prove.

However, looks like Ranveer has already counted his chickens before the eggs were hatched!

This morning, Ranveer, who has a knack for posting some really whacky pictures on his social media profiles, shared the following image.

For those living under a rock, let me tell you, while the picture on the extreme right is Ranveer’s Khilji, the others are two of the most iconic villains of Hollywood.

The one in the middle is, of course, Heath Ledger’s Joker from The Dark Knight trilogy…

… and the one on the extreme left is Malcolm McDowell’s Alex DeLarge from A Clockwork Orange.

So what’s all the fuss about? Isn’t it a really cool edit? It just looks like Ranveer is…. Oh wait.

Yes, Ranveer clearly seems to be comparing his yet to be seen Khilji with two of the best, most loved villains of all time. And yes, his fans are clearly not happy about it, no sir!

13. Inspiration Obsession?

14. Now that makes sense!

15. Ooooh I see what you did there!

Let me ask you, does the Vivek Oberoi comment give you a sense of déjà vu? Here’s why!

Remember Vivek’s super villain ‘Kaal’ in Krrish 3? The actor was quite proud of his performance and had gone to the lengths of comparing it with Heath Ledger’s Joker too.

Naturally, this did not go down well with Joker fans then and looks like they’re not too happy with Ranveer’s blatant comparison now too.

Here’s what I think, the die-hard Ranveer fan living in anticipation of Padmavati, that I am. The moment the trailer came out, lots of people compared his performance to that of Jason Momoa’s Khal Drogo from Game of Thrones and Aquaman from Justice League.

Maybe, this was a similar attempt by Ranveer to show his fans what may have inspired his villainous act in the movie. Or maybe it was a comparison.

But despite being some excellent editing, it just looks like two legendary cinema villains and an actor trying to be one.
