The trouble reportedly began after Anitha along with fellow officer identified a piece of land under forest reserve and wanted to plant saplings there. But the MLA’s brother and other villagers opposed her claiming that the land belonged to them.

According to a report in TNM, Krishna Rao has been arrested. He has also resigned from his position of Vice Chairman in Zilla Parishad. An investigation is underway for the other 15 people involved in the incident. We hope all the assailants are soon caught and served justice by the law!
