After stepping down as the captain of India’s national limited-overs team, Mahendra Singh Dhoni was removed as the skipper of his IPL team, ‘Rising Pune Supergiants’ in a shocking decision by the team owner, Sanjiv Goenka. Australian captain Steven Smith has been named as the new skipper of the side.
Goenka wanted a younger captain to lead the side for the 10th edition of the multi-million dollar league after a disappointing season last year.
However, the news didn’t go well with the millions of Dhoni fans around the nation as they thrashed the Pune team management for their decision with some witty and angry tweets.
