Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas recently announced the Oscar nominations for the 93rd Academy Awards. But it did not seem to go down well with Australian entertainment journalist Peter Ford who questioned their credentials on his now-hidden Twitter account.
As per a report in News18, the journalist tweeted a photograph of the couple and tweeted, “No disrespect to these two but I’m not sure their contribution to movies qualifies them to be announcing Oscar nominees.”
In response to another tweet, he further wrote:

When a fan asked journalist Ford to watch her performance in the film ‘Barfi’, Ford backtracked and reportedly responded, “I agree her credits are very extensive and I was not fully aware of that. The contribution to Hollywood is minimal. Still no clarification on what her husband’s contribution is. These are the Oscars. This isn’t personal – she’s a very successful and astute woman.”
Luckily, another Twitter user took screenshots before Ford made his account private.
