In our multicultural nation, known around the globe as the melting pot of diversity, different factions, ideologies and opinions have remained a constant. Especially when it comes to politics, our politicians in the centre just don’t seem to get along with each other. While it’s necessary for at least someone in Parliament to be playing the Devil’s advocate, outside of those halls, why can’t we all simply let lose?
The CM of Shillong certainly seems to be leading by example. In this video, uploaded by Santanu Saikia, the CM is seen singing to the Beatles track ‘All My Loving’ alongside the law minister and the leader of the opposition! That’s right, they’re socialising… TOGETHER!
I hope other politicians follow suit. I can’t wait to see Rahul Gandhi, Arvind Kejriwal and PM Modi grooving to a Beatles track soon!
