‘Abhinandan’ Will Have A New Meaning From Now, Narendra Modi Salutes Brave IAF Pilot

The country is in a state of ecstasy mixed with emotions after its brave son, IAF Wing Commander, Abhinandan Varthaman, marched his way back into the country on Friday. The valiant warrior, who landed in Pakistan after his MiG 21 Bison fighter jet crashed during the aerial combat with its Pakistani counterparts, was welcomed with loud cheers at the Wagah border.

As a result, the country has been celebrating the return of the soldier, who fought courageously against the Pak forces and kept his dignity intact during his time of captivation under the Pakistani army.

And now, Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has heaped praise on Abhinandan and his true grit.

Speaking at the ‘Construction Technology India’19’ in Delhi, he said that whatever India does, the world watches it closely. He went on to claim that the nation holds the power to change the meaning of every word in the dictionary.

“Hindustan jo bhi karega, duniya use gaur se dekhti hai. Is desh ki takat hai ki dictionary ke shabdon ke arth badal deta hai.”

“Whatever India does, world watches it closely….It is the power of this nation that it changes the meaning of words.”

Hailing Abhinandan Varthaman and his undefeatable bravery, the PM said that the word ‘Abhinandan’ which means ‘Congratulations’ in English, will now have a different meaning altogether.

“Kabhi ‘Abhinandan’ ka angrezi hota tha ‘Congratulation’, ab ‘Abhinandan’ ka arth badal jaayega.”

“Abhinandan used to mean congratulation, now Abhinandan will have a new meaning.”

Couldn’t have said it better.
