On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is otherwise quite active on social media, took desi Twitter by surprise by announcing a social media detox. His post on the microblogging site received 48,000 retweets and hashtags like #NoSir and #IWillAlsoLeaveTwitter started trending.

Everyone began speculating the cause of his decision and whether he would follow through and abstain from posting online. But now, the mystery has been solved. PM Modi has revealed that he will be ‘giving up’ his accounts to inspiring women on March 8, 2020, that is celebrated as Women’s Day.
