Jeans.
The most fantastic invention of mankind! The fabric solved all answers of clothing oneself with ease and class. It’s the most important and the most used garment in everyone’s closet but yet, finding the perfect one is a nightmare and a rare occurrence by chance as watching a falling star.
This can be changed given that you know your body type, which is really not difficult.
Pear shape – Smaller bust, large hips, and a wide waist.
Apple shape – All in all, a heavy midsection with thin limbs.
Hourglass – Large bust, large hips, narrow waist.
Boy Image – All in all, a rectangular shape.
Athletic – Toned and broad shouldered body.
Petite – A little of everything, not a lot of anything.
Everyone’s body is different but, here are just a few generalisations which you can use just to ‘inch’ your way closer to perfection.
1. Always look out for the pockets
Just for the sake of practicality, choose the denim which has the largest pockets in comparison to others.
The back pockets might seem unimportant but once you start wearing your jeans, they do become important. To effectively flatter your rear assets, the positioning of the back pockets matter. For considerably flat topography, choose the jeans with higher back pockets and for most people with a wide figure, the pocket preferably should be lower.
2. If concerned about a muffin top, go for a mid to high rise
The high rise successfully hides the muffin top which is quite a characteristic of every Indian, and also gives your curves a chance to showcase themselves.
3. Opt for flares as they enhance the length of your legs

There is a reason they were such a rage in the 60s. Comfortable, airy and what more? They make one look taller while being a comfortable fit! Flares are making a comeback and you should definitely cash in on it!
4. Go for a straight cut / a boot cut if you don’t want to flaunt your curves
If you want to look comfortable without flaunting your curves in any way or want to hide a few parts then straight cut is the thing for you. It’s stylish and classy and the one style which will never betray you.
5. A cut out hemline exposing your ankles works great if you have thin legs

Ladies, if you have thin legs and pretty ankles, flaunt em! It makes you look very casual, breezy and classy at the same time. If you want to tailor your existing jeans to this length, keep the hem intact so the trademark look of the jeans is not lost.
6.  Always pace around and see if you have enough room to squat as well

While trying on the jeans, make sure you have a lot of leg room to move comfortably and one quick hack will determine if you should buy it or not is sitting down or squatting while wearing the jeans which determines the ultimate comfortableness of that jeans.
7. Shop for darker shades rather than the light ones

Stick to the darker shades for versatility and lesser tension of spoiling them. And as the dark jeans fade slowly and naturally while taking it’s time to adjust to your body, it’s become a natural at being your most prized piece of cloth.
8. Always go for a wash that is subtle and graduated

The washed jeans can be quite a trick. Choose a jeans with a very subtle wash. Or just let nature take its course and let the color of your jeans fade on it’s on.
9. Avoid jeans with flaps for back pockets if you’re on the slightly heavier side
Say no to back pocket flaps! They’re uncomfortable and stick out. If you’re on the heavier side, you should definitely avoid this.
10. Avoid going for baggy styles if you have a fuller figure
Baggy pants tend to make one look more bloated and shorter than you are. So, however, comfortable they might be, they do not flatter your figure.
11. Embellish them if you want, but tastefully

It’s a matter of creativity, but keep the look and the intention of the shape of the jeans before you start to work on it.
12. Last but not the least, know your size

Everything else doesn’t matter as much as this does. Every other hack you use to find the perfect jeans won’t be of any use if the size isn’t right. Measuring is easy. All you need is a measuring tape and wrap it around the thinnest, the middle part of your waist and the fleshiest part of your hips. Those dimensions will give you a pretty good which size will fit you best.
