You might have heard several motivational quotes about love knowing no bounds and age being just a number when two people fall for each other. Well, if you think these sayings are best for Instagram post captions then you’re wrong.
This couple hailing from Lahore, Pakistan is a living example that neither age difference, social standing, or profession can get in the way of two love birds.
50-year-old Sadiq, who is a bus driver by profession, got attracted to a 24-year-old female passenger named Shehzadi. It was during one of their journeys together in Pakistan’s Punjab state that they fell for each other, reported News18.
“I used to travel with him from Channu to Lahore from the bus stand. I used to like the way he kept himself, his driving. He was also very soft-spoken and well-mannered. Now, he’s transformed,” Shehzadi joked while talking to a Pakistani Youtuber who interviewed them.
“Apart from that, he used to listen to old songs which I also like. My stop was the last one so often I used to be alone with him on the bus listening to music. Overtime, I fell in love with him and expressed my feelings too. And he accepted my proposal.”
Talking about his love story, Sadiq said, “I used to watch her enjoy the old 90’s songs. I also used to pray to God to make her mine. And that day, the Almighty accepted my prayers.”
After the couple got married, people, especially their relatives, weren’t happy with it. Responding to them, the woman said, “The relatives don’t have to share and live the life. We will.”
Sadiq added, “Relatives don’t matter to me. My friends said that since you drive the bus so well, you’ll also navigate your life very easily now that you have found a permanent passenger.”
Now, the woman accompanies her husband on his journey. She also helps him and works as a conductor and route hostess too.
