Parents will be parents. No matter how old you grow and whichever part of the world you are in, there will always be that occasional phone call and a message asking if you’re eating, sleeping, working, etc. properly. While our dads are a little backward in showing affection, our moms, undoubtedly, will keep track of our every move to see if we are okay. 🙂
People online who are in their late 30s and 40s revealed how their parents still treat them like a kid who needs assistance in every step. For example, have your parents reminded you of the little things you need to do when catching a flight – like reaching the airport 2 hours early and taking a copy of the flight tickets?
My mum clearly didn’t get the memo that I’m 35-yrs-old. pic.twitter.com/T3fLA9K1LL

Or when you leave for work, do your parents still remind you of all the essentials that you need to carry?
I am 43 my asks me everyday before I leave for office
“Ellam eduhtundiya, paper, pena , phone, pencil , charger”
I have stopped reacting cause I would forget Phone or charger multiple times and his “I told you so” is more annoying when I react to this statement

Well, turns out, this will continue till they are around! Many people shared adorable accounts of their parents taking care of their needs. Have a look:
I didn’t knew what packing was because my mom did it for me every time I went somewhere and she used to call me and tell me the things to pack if i was getting home from somewhere. Now, when she is gone I always forget to pack one or two things. Now I reliased our parents

Switch off geyser, heater and lights before leaving. Don’t forget to put out the garbage and left overs in the fridge… Dhyan se rehna (meaning don’t drink and smoke)

I’m 35 and whenever I suggest even mildly that I’ve got a sore throat she follows up for 3-4 days if I’ve done a gargle. My dad explains that Bahubali was actually green screen and CGI.
My MIL still gives my wife and me step by step walkthroughs on how to make dosa batter etc🥲— Faraz Mir (@farazmir14) December 23, 2021

I remember my father. He used to ask, "Ticket theek se rakh liya".
Now, no one reminds that. 😢
