While some provided him with food grains, others also helped him restock his cart that was the only source of income for his family at such unprecedented times.
Proving humanity exists, the boy named Paras Raykar has now been provided with a house and is promised free education. A politician from Indore-2 constituency, Ramesh Mendola, recently handed him papers of a house under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, reported Hindustan Times. Paras confirmed that Mendola also gave him a bicycle, four pairs of clothes and Rs 2,500.
The child also said that Member of Parliament Digvijaya Singh has also vowed to provide free education to him and his brother. “I got a call from Congress leader Digvijaya Singh who promised us of better education and sent me Rs 10,000 through our known person Chandrashekhar Raikwar,” India Today quoted him saying.
It was disheartening to see the teenager sobbing when his cart was destroyed. But, looking at the love and support he has been receiving ever since is heartwarming. Now, this is the kind of world I want to live in.
