After India successfully landed on the moon with its Chandrayaan-3 mission, there have been two kinds of reactions from our neighbours in Pakistan. One, they have showered immense love and congratulatory messages for our scientific achievement. And two, they have used self-deprecating humour to express their feelings towards the situation. Here’s an example.
A man in Pakistan was asked about his views on Chandrayaan-3’s successful landing on the moon. He said that while India is spending money on the moon, Pakistanis are already on the moon!
“Toh paise laga ke jaa rahe hai na? Hum toh already chand pe reh rahe hai,” he says.
When the interviewer asks him what he means by that, the man hilariously explains, “Chand pe paani hai? Nai. Toh idhar bhi nahi hai. Waha pe gas hai? Nai. Idhar bhi nahi hai. Waha pe bijli hai? Nai. Yaha bhi dekho light nahi hai idhar bhi.”
