Photographs give us a window to go back in time and cherish the beautiful moments of our lives. With the evolution of cameras over the years, we can now capture every little thing like the food we are eating or the cute dog that we see every day on our way home.
But this was not the case 70 years ago when Margaret and Ferris Romaire got married. When the high school sweethearts tied the knot on November 24, 1946, there was no camera to capture the moments from the biggest day of their lives.
So to mark the 70-year anniversary of their wedding, one of their grandkids organised a photo shoot to recreate those lovely moments. Check out these adorable pictures from the photo shoot of the lovely couple.
1. The photographs were taken near their home in Pearland, Texas
2. The couple felt silly at first but then agreed for the pictures
3. Margaret and Ferris met each other at a high school dance and have been together ever since
4. Even after so many ears, they love each other’s company
5. The two of them have been together through thick and thinÂ
6. Both Margaret and Ferris are in great health and this has helped in the longevity of their marriage
7. Ferris took his old tux out while Margaret rented a $5 gown for the shoot
8. The couple has 4 kids, 8 grandkids and 8 great grandkids
9. They still live in the same home they built 65 years ago
10. This shoot is a perfect toast to their companionship
11. They are setting serious commitment goals for everyone
At a time when true love is losing all its meaning, Margaret and Ferris are no less than an inspiration for us all.
