When you’re afraid of failures to empower you, you end up doing nothing and just complain. Successful people don’t see this as an obstacle but as an opportunity.
Meet Aanchal Dhara, a Mumbai-based wedding photographer, who travelled from Mumbai to Goa, on foot. That’s right! She covered 583km over 26 days, by walking!
Wanting to escape from the cobwebs of urban life, the photographer, along with her husband launched ‘The Audacious Project’, a project that promulgates “audacious, life-changing experiences.”
Their first project was ‘Two Feet & A Dream’, that involved a 583-km walk from Andheri to Morjim (Goa).
She underwent physical training for such a mammoth task; walking for 583 kilometres is not something you take lightly. She began training 6 months before their maiden project.
Though she walked alone, she was accompanied by her husband and a photographer, Ranjeet, in a support car. Their car carried all the equipment to document her travel.
This is how her walks were planned:
1. Since they were starting in October, which was one of the hottest months of the year, Aanchal used to start walking at 6 AM everyday.
2. After walking every 7 kilometres, she used to take a 15-minute break, where she used to massage her feet in a support car.
3. Her walk lasted till 6 or 7 PM. At night, she used to go to a hotel and massage her swollen and blistered feet. This lasted for 26 days.
4. Though people consider a woman walking alone on roads a gruesome task, Aanchal found out that her experience was not that tough and scary.
Here are the photos from her 26-days long walk:

Well done, Aanchal Dhara!
