MP Petrol Pump Employee Absent For 6 Days, Owner Ties Him & Thrashes Him With A Whip

For the past few years, the crime rate in India has increased exponentially. Every single state is riddled with horrific stories of sexual violence and lynchings based on communal prejudices or WhatsApp rumours. And the one common trend among the accused are that they’re no longer afraid to inflict physical violence. That’s why it didn’t take long for a petrol pump owner in Madhya Pradesh to flog his employee for being absent.

According to The New Indian Express, Ajay Ahirwar, a petrol pump employee in Madhya Pradesh was unable to join work for a few days. The punishment he received for that was public flogging. Ajay said,

“I was hurt in a road accident, owing to which I couldn’t go to work at the petrol pump without informing the employer. Five to six days later, both Chintu and Dipak Sahu arrived at my house and forcibly took me to the petrol pump. Once at the petrol pump, I was tied to a pole and flogged for remaining absent for five to six days sans prior permission.”

The incident had taken place on June 23, but Ajay was way too scared to inform the police. That’s because he was afraid that he’d be killed if he tried to reach anyone for help.

“Not only was I flogged with a hunter (whip), but both Chintu and Dipak Sahu also threatened to kill me if I reported the matter to police. Fearing for my life, I fled to my maternal uncle’s house in Pawarkhedi, but returned and reported the matter to police at my uncle’s insistence.”

While the ghastliness of the incident is enough to get the petrol pump owners, Dipak and Chintu Sahu in jail, they went to greater lengths to prove how cruel they’re. They recorded the entire incident on their cellphones, while one of them thrashed Ajay with a whip.

Although Ajay was afraid to inform the police, they didn’t disappoint once he filed a complaint. Additional SP of Hoshangabad district, Rakesh Khaka said a case has been lodged under Sections 342, 294, 323 and 506 of IPC, along with other provisions under The Scheduled Caste and Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.

It’s hard to deduce whether a person is born violent or becomes so due to what he/she is seeing in their society. However, considering how both the accused in this case have been arrested, every criminal-minded people should know that the law will never be on their side and they’ll be punished one day or the other.
