Dog Sneakily Visits Police Station At Midnight, Plays With Cops & Returns Home On His Own

If you were to get lost today, what would you do? Chances are that you would search for a police officer and ask for help. That should be a person’s go-to solution. Turns out, even dogs have the same response!

According to a report by Mail Online, a German Shepherd named Chico went missing in Texas in the middle of the night. However, the dog itself went to the police station at 3.30 AM to alert the cops of his missing status!

The owner of the dog was fast asleep and had no idea that Chico went missing. The dog didn’t even have an identity tag around its neck. So when it entered the Odessa Police station, the cops called animal control to check for a microchip which could locate the dog.

Meanwhile, officers at the station had a pretty good time with the dog. They snuggled him, played ‘fetch’, and gave him a lot of attention, reports Mirror UK.

He didn’t seem distressed about his lost status at all.

“It was as if he just went out for a stroll through the neighbourhood and decided to pay the kind officers a visit to brighten up their day,” said an officer.

However, before animal control could arrive, Chico left the police station and the police officers, after an “exhaustive search” couldn’t catch him. Later they found out that Chico had found his way back home.

It wasn’t until the next day that the owner got to know what had happened. The owner’s nephew was the first to come across the viral post online and went on to show him.

The owner said, “He (the nephew) asked me, ‘Is that Chico?’. I came outside and checked. But he was there already. That’s kind of cool. He knows where to go!”
