Mirzapur: Cops Arrest School Principal Who Punished Student By Dangling Him From 1st Floor

Schools are definitely regarded as places where discipline is paramount. Yet, educators today are often seen adopting an approach like positive reinforcement when it comes to dealing with younger students.

However, a principal of a school in Mirzapur made the news for all the wrong reasons recently when he was arrested for manhandling a student. Much like the aggressive violence in a show called Mirzapur, the principal dangled a 5-year-old child from the first floor, reports News18.

The principal of Sadbhavna Shikshan Sansthan Junior High School in Ahraura, Mirzapur had wanted to punish the student of class 2 for being mischievous. But another student reported that the kid was held upside down for 10 minutes. The 5-year-old was only pulled up when he screamed and begged for forgiveness.

Such a brutal punishment didn’t go down well with people online as they demanded the principal’s arrest. Have a look-

The student’s father filed a case against the principal under sections 352 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code and appropriate sections of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act. Reports suggest that the school is in process of being derecognizing and the existing pupils shall be admitted to other schools nearby.
