The MET Gala is an annual fundraising gala that’s held for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City. It is regarded as the world’s most prestigious fashion event with the world’s most elite celebrities in attendance wearing the finest designer outfits. Every year comes with a unique theme and this year, it’s ‘Karl Lagerfield: A Line of Beauty’ which pays a tribute to the late Chanel designer.
Previously, Bollywood celebrities such as Deepika Padukone, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Priyanka Chopra graced the red carpet, creating a memorable moment with their outfits. It has been reported that Alia Bhatt will be in attendance at this year’s MET Gala, for which Indians are very excited.

However, recent news regarding the MET Gala made headlines that left several people shocked. The tickets for this year’s event cost a whopping $50,000 or INR 41,12,975 per person, reported Economic Times. Last year, the price for a ticket was $30,000 or INR 24,67,785. The first-ever MET Gala ticket was for $50 back in 1948.
