Watching people do tiny, inconsequential things in their everyday lives can tell you a lot about who they are as a person. And you know what they say? If you pay attention and observe your surroundings carefully, there’s something to learn in everything. Well that’s exactly what this journalist tried to do when she took a slightly closer look at something Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez and Jordi Alba, FC Barcelona players, did. And boy, did she have an epiphany!
Twitter user @chelseaadelaine shared a gif of Messi, Suárez and Alba getting around a handrail. Normal stuff, what’s so special, right? Well, wait till you see how each of them get past it.
honestly can’t stop thinking about these guys being the three kinds of people in the world pic.twitter.com/UrUcj7YgA5

As you would’ve seen in the video, all three players approach the hurdle before them differently.
Messi goes under; Suárez goes over; and Alba goes around. Chelsea seems to think these diverse approaches to a problem that each of them encounter (the handrail), shows how there are three kinds of people, each dealing with a problem in their own different way.
Whoa. That’s DEEP.
As always, Twitter had its opinion game going strong and people tweeted their own takeaway from Chelsea’s tweet.
Tweeple and their insights, I tell you!
1. Which was the correct way but?

2. What would you choose?
The one who makes it hard for himself, the one who takes the easy route, and the one that is the most efficent. https://t.co/ijNr4cdHcy

3. Oh well, Suárez does have a legit biting history!
Note how Suarez pulled his collar over his mouth so he wasn’t tempted to bite the railing.

4. A lot of people thought the way Messi, Suárez and Alba tackled the handrail spoke a lot about their individual playing styles.
Messi wriggling through, Suarez with a more direct approach and Alba going wide – how these three approach a barrier much like how they play football. In a way. pic.twitter.com/mLtqB41N9H

That’s some insight!

As long as they get the job done!
Jordi Alba down the left flank
Leo Messi quick and efficient
Suarez takes the complicated route but gets the job done https://t.co/INUqiCAKX4

That sounds ominous!
They better not go under over and around our defense next week 😢 https://t.co/Xl7x5U4MSb

5. A major chunk of fans did not particularly like this illustrious bunch of players being referred to as “these guys”!
Did she just say “these guys” ? https://t.co/LUsMUMZMXd
— Andres (@Denuma8) February 15, 2018
Yeah Chelsea, WTF?
THESE ARE NOT JUST GUYS CHELSEA https://t.co/3eJbClqcTE
— Dj Kev/n (@KEVgetsitYN) February 16, 2018
Oh. That was intense.
Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Jordi Alba did not come back from a 4-0 advantage aggregate score to be called “these guys” https://t.co/rkvj968foy

6. But mostly, it was just people comparing these three players to random trios and announcing which of the three is more their style!
Just another day at school!
Alba is the good law abiding kid in school, Messi is the kid who is very quiet yet very stubborn but no one actually knows, Suarez is that kid who loves to break all the rules in high school 😂😂😂

Same!

Realisation dawns!
That moment you realize you’re the “walk around and use the stairs” person.

7. And someone found the fourth type of guy too, which I think secretly all of us are!
Seems to be missing the idiot who jumps over it and falls. pic.twitter.com/EuDqL8OEK2

8. Ed, Edd and Eddy nostalgia, anyone?

9. I think the bunny is the smartest of them all!

10. And then there’s this guy!
— Corey Henderson (@StripesCorey) February 14, 2018
Ah well, to each his own! As long as “these guys” overcome every hurdle and keep going, Barca fans are all good!
As for us, we already found our ‘three kinds of’ example long back!
