4 Men Ate 30 Kg Oranges In 30 Min At Airport To Avoid Paying Extra Baggage Fee

Air travel is one of the convenient modes of travel. But even though it enables us to reach our destination at the earliest, it restricts us from carrying as much luggage we like. And if you exceed the set limit, you are ought to pay an extra baggage fine.

These Chinese travellers recently found themselves in a similar situation. But in order to skip paying the baggage fee, they came up with a jugaad.

While on a business trip to Kunming, these four people bought a box of oranges weighing 30 kilograms for 50 yuan (Rs 564). However, when they reached the airport, they were informed that they would have to pay a total of 300 yuan (Rs 3,384) as an extra baggage fee if they wish to take the fruits along with them.

Clearly, the fee was much more than the price of the fruits. Hence, one of the four people surnamed Wang, decided that they would eat the oranges right there at the airport in a bid to avoid paying the fee. And apparently, the four ended up eating 30 kg of oranges at an airport in Kunming in Southwest China’s Yunnan Province, reported Times Now.

“We just stood there and ate the whole thing up. It took about 20-30 minutes,” Wang was quoted as saying. But as it’s said, too much of everything is bad. Even though they gobbled down all the oranges, they started to suffer from mouth ulcers. “We never want to have oranges again,” exclaimed Wang.
