This time of the year should officially be termed as the ‘wedding season’! Battling the demonetisation blues, brides, grooms and the families showed a lot of courage, hosting weddings (while standing in queues) and grabbed headlines while doing that!

And while there will always be a Janardhan Reddy, splurging 500 crores on his daughter’s wedding, there is a father who is inspiring the better in us.

Ajay Munot, a businessman from Aurangabad has donated 90 houses to the homeless instead of engaging in extravagant expenses for his daughter’s wedding. He had planned to spend Rs. 70-80 lakhs in the wedding before he took the humanitarian step.

“This is the new chapter in history and hope that the same concept will be followed by the other rich communities. We have some responsibilities towards our society and we tried to comply with it.”

Ajay was inspired by his family and friends to go ahead with the noble cause.

Even, the daughter, Shreya, looked the happiest bride while she took a moment to commend her father and his philanthropic thoughts.
