Delhi Girl’s Cheating Ex-Fiancé Kidnaps Her Dad To Force Her To Marry Him!

They say everything is fair in love and war. Well, not always. You can’t abduct the woman you wish to marry nor even kidnap her father to blackmail her into marrying you. But such cases keep coming to light time and again in our country.

A 24-year-old man was arrested for abducting a woman’s father when she refused to marry him.

The kidnapper named Sanjeev Singh met the woman through a common friend and dated each other for a year. The woman’s family was earlier against their relationship and marriage. But she eventually convinced her family for their wedding and the duo got engaged.

But, days later, the woman called off the wedding after finding out that her fiance was dating other women at the same time and was also engaged to one of them. However, the man could not take rejection and started harassing the woman’s family, following which, they moved to Bhopal from Dwarka in Delhi. The woman’s father, who works as an accountant in a shop chose to stay in Delhi.

Things took a nasty turn when Singh along with a group of men abducted the woman’s father on Sunday morning. “Sanju borrowed a car from a friend and joined three friends to execute his crime. A hunt is on to nab his friends,” Dwarka DCP, Anto Alphonse told India Today.

“At around 8 am the shop owner called the police control room and reported that his 50-year-old accountant was missing since 4 am,” reports Hindustan Times.

“He told police that another employee had informed him three to four men had taken the accountant in their car from outside the shop. The shop owner, meanwhile, suspected that he was kidnapped. Accordingly, a kidnapping case was registered and an investigation was taken up,” he said.

The man’s daughter, however, told the police that he spoke to her twice from two different mobile numbers.

“The woman said her father had told her that he was in Haryana’s Sonepat and advised her to marry Sanjeev saying that he was a good man and the best match for her. Her father’s advice confused her. It made her believe that he was in trouble because she knew that her father disliked Singh and had himself rejected his marriage proposal” said the DCP.

“The daughter told investigators that she knew Sanju and suspected he could have kidnapped her father. The police teams tracked the locations of the mobile numbers from where calls had been made to the girl in Baraut, Meerut and finally Mathura,” the officer said.

“We put the two numbers on surveillance and their locations were found to be in Baoli area of Uttar Pradesh. A team was dispatched there but the suspects frequently changed their locations,” he further added.

The police then located them, arrested Singh and brought the woman’s father back to Delhi. Other suspects have been identified by the police and will be soon taken into custody. Singh works as a delivery man for an online company, he is a resident of Meerut.

Abduction in the name of love is certainly not acceptable. We hope the suspects are soon held and punished by the law.
