Lucknow Metro Breaks Down Due To Faulty Tech On Its First Run And The Internet Is Cracking Up

It was a big day, yesterday. No, I’m not talking about another explosive interview by the Bollywood firebrand, Kangana Ranaut, being her feisty self (and taking on big guys while doing so). I’m talking about the inauguration of Lucknow’s first metro line that is determined to take UP to greater heights.

If you missed the gala, here is how it looked.

In fact, Home Minister, Rajnath Singh also touted it to be a milestone.

But, as fate would have it, the path to progress has been disrupted!

 

According to ANI, the Lucknow Metro Service was temporarily stopped because of some technical glitch.

The line which was opened for public use was stalled near Alambagh station.

According to a report by Zee News, there was panic among the passengers as the AC and lights went off. However, the Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) officials were quick to reach for help.

 

Needless to say, the Internet is cracking up at the irony!

A total of Rs 6,00,080 crore were invested in the Lucknow Metro Project and the result is comically hapless, to say the least!
