Jalandhar Went Into Panic Mode After A Leopard Started Wreaking Havoc For Six Long Hours

Our primitive ancestors used to hunt for a living and survived times that were tougher than they are now. However, after years of evolution, we’ve become way more timid and choose to run for our lives even if a little Chihuahua gets too aggressive. So, you can only imagine what happened when a wild leopard decided to say “hi” to the people of Jalandhar.

According to Hindustan Times, a leopard strayed into Jalandhar and attacked many people for several hours. It went through the alleys and backstreets of the city, and attacked many people.

Four people were taken down and bitten by the leopard. Viral videos showed people gathering to watch the feline as it rushed at people in gardens and leaped across walls.

Reportedly, most of the people who sustained injuries were trying to catch a glimpse of the leopard, and ended up being the victims. But after six long hours of terror, it was tranquilised by wildlife officials.

Apparently, many people threw stones at the leopard, and it retaliated by wrestling and gnawing them. Finally, it was cornered in a house and sedated. Now, the resident of Himachal Pradesh is at the Chhatbir zoo, where it’ll be kept under observation for several days.

The police said that if it wasn’t for the crowds, they could’ve conducted their attempts to capture the leopard more easily. They had to block some streets to keep people away and do their job. So, baccho aur budho, if you hear a wild animal prowling your streets, get in and lock yourselves up. Because if it comes for you, tumse naa ho payega.
