This 22-Year-Old Law Student Dressed Up As Spiderman For His Graduation Ceremony!

No matter how old we get, there’ll be some part of us that’ll always be a kid. The one that gets excited seeing bubble wrap, the one that laughs at farts and the one that still cheers for Jerry every time he thwarts Tom. Truth be told, aren’t these the moments that add that special something to our otherwise mundane lives?

If not for that little kid prompting us to laugh at all inappropriate occasions, we’d all just be a bunch of very serious people stuck in uncomfortable suits and ties that are basically strangling us.

One law student from Mexico decided he didn’t want to stick to the official suit and tie dress code for his graduation ceremony. Instead, he chose something a bit more… fun.

Yup, Hiram Yahir Salas Romero, a 22-year-old law graduate from The Autonomous University of Ciudad Juarez in northern Mexico, dressed up as Spiderman for his graduation ceremony going a 360 degrees against the specified dress code of dark suits, white shirts and shoes.

And Spidey/Romero looked pretty on fleek if you ask me.

Well, according to the Dailymail UK, he did dress up in the proposed attire initially but then changed into his Spidey suit in the bathroom and managed to hide it under his graduation gown.

And apparently, not all authorities found humour in his little stunt as the Master of Ceremonies reminded the audience of the ‘solemnity’ of the occasion as Romero walked on stage.

The man in the spiderman costume says:

“None of the authorities said anything. They just looked at me unhappily. I don’t remember if the Rector said anything, but I think I got a smile out of him.”

However, Romero says that all he intended was to liven the proceedings a bit and to change the perception that law students are too square.

He also went a step further and held up a placard that read: ‘For the love of my life, my mother.’ when he received his degree.

And she seems like a pretty cool mom, since according to Romero, not only did she pay for his studies, she also gave him the money to buy his special graduation costume.

As for why Spiderman, the graduate says it’s because he sees Spider-Man as a role model who was ‘human with problems but also with the desire to help people with his special powers and intellect.’

Contrary to all the love he’s been getting online, some of his fellow graduates weren’t as impressed since they think that he was being immature and stole the limelight from others. Well, personally I’d have loved it if we had a few superheroes in costume had popped into my otherwise boring graduation. You do you, kid.
