Time and again, we’ve seen actors go through drastic transformations for their movie roles. Be it Chris Hemsworth’s muscular look for ‘Thor’ or Christian Bale’sextreme weight loss for ‘The Machinist’, actors often go the extra mile to look their part in films. Like, a few months back, actor-comedian Kumail Nanjiani had shared his fit and fab physique transformation for his superhero role in Marvel’s ‘The Eternals’.
However, the 42-year-old was recently trolled on social media for a picture he posted on New Year’s Eve. The ‘Silicon Valley’ actor, who has been regularly posting pics of his workout and diet, had shared a photo of himself having a slice of cake.
Some people online poked fun at the actor saying how did he get such a physique by eating cakes. A few people also accused him of taking steroids to get in shape.
As a few individuals started body-shaming the actor, fans came out in Kumail’s support. They called the comments racist and questioned why such accusations are not made against actors like Chris Evans.
Kumail Nanjiani gets canceled for bulking up for a superhero movie and people claiming his using steroids..
But in the same breath they fawn over all the Chrises for setting the standard of male bodies and praise them for looking buff?
Qwhite interesting. pic.twitter.com/tKf72OWBqD

What's going on with Kumail on here is racism, straight up.

Chris Pratt can bulk up for a marvel movie and everyone is cool with is.
Kumail Nanjiani does it and people call him “grotesque” and assume he’s using steroids.
I hate it here. pic.twitter.com/9LSfvreUtc

Funny how Kumail Nanjiani gets jacked and fit for a lead role as an immortal in a comic book movie that a normal man of his ethnicity wouldn’t get and gets made into memes and made fun of but white men like Bale and Chris Patt play with their weight for roles and get praised.

Image 1: Kumail Nanjiani bulked up to play some Marvel hero. Grotesque; unnatural.
Image 2: Pierce Brosnan with a sorta-shitty body portraying a man who has allegedly just spent 14 months in a North Korean prison camp in Die Another Day (2002). What a man should look like. pic.twitter.com/BaWkcVwk4b

Chris Hemsworth gets jacked for Thor: “😍🤩😍🤩”
Chris Pratt gets jacked for Star-Lord: “😍🤩😍🤩”
Kumail Nanjiani gets jacked for Eternals: “He’s clearly using steroids”

I’m ready to fight anyone who has anything negative to say about Kumail Nanjiani! pic.twitter.com/r1QACyt9ef

Body shaming Kumail Nanjiani for…being jacked? Is way weird. Especially since all the Chris’ have done the same super-soldier program and never got any flack for it. I wonder what the difference is? pic.twitter.com/NIeUf3DwAb

Physical transformations don’t happen overnight and they require a lot of hard work and dedication. Trolling someone based on assumptions is unacceptable. What do you think about this incident? Tell us
