According to DNA, a Kerala wedding Photographer was allegedly found morphing pictures of women at marriages and using them for pornographic purposes.
The studio owners of Sadayam Shoot and Edit were reported to the police after several women discovered their morphed marriage pictures on social media.
Police have now arrested the two owners and have sealed the studio. This situation has created panic amongst people who booked these photographers for the wedding.
This case has become a very sensitive issue in Kerala. A special investigation team is set up by the CM P. Vijayan to probe the case. Even the Kerala State Women’s Commission has initiated a case over the matter.
It is really disturbing to realise that the technology we are using so sincerely to capture and save our special moments can actually backfire at us. With the technology of image morphing and clicking pictures without the other person realising, it is not a boon but bane. But with this incident in light, we cannot deny the latent dangers of this technology. After reading this, will you be able to pose freely for any photographer? I cannot.
