There is this running joke amongst guys (mostly) that after marriage, they won’t be able to spend much time with their friends because their marital life will take precedence over everything else. Shaadi ke baad toh humein bhool hi gaya hai –Â this is a common dialogue that a newly-married guy will often hear from his friends. And even if he does get to hang out with them, many wives are known to give them a ring and ask them to come back home.
To save a newly-married guy from such marital ‘bondage’, a group of friends decided to gift a wedding contract to the bride, which they also made her sign. According to the contract, the bride will have to permit her husband to spend time with his friends till 9 PM, during which she will not be allowed to call him, reported Indian Express.
This incident took place in Palakkad’s Kanjikode, Kerala, at a wedding on November 5 between a guy named Raghu and a woman named Archana. The contract was signed on a Rs 50 stamp paper along with two witnesses. The contract reads:
“Even after marriage, my husband Raghu S KDR would be permitted to spend time with his friends till 9 pm and I hereby promise that I would not disturb him on phone during that time.”
