Kartik Aaryan‘s obsession with cars is now known to everyone. Despite being a global star, the ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ was recently spotted flying economy class in a flight. In fact, he didn’t even own a car when his debut film ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’ was released in 2011.

Recently, the actor divulged that the first car he bought, after his fifth film, was a third-hand car that he bought for Rs 60,000. He actually bought the car because he had to take an auto to go to red carpet events.

“Maine ek third hand car khareedi thi jo ₹60,000 mein padi thi and bohot mushkilo se khareedi thi woh. Uska darwaaza nahi khulta tha. Aur maine specifically isliye li thi kyunki red carpet kabhi bhi jaata tha, toh main auto se jaata tha ya fir koi bike hoti thi kisiki, ya lift le li kisi se.”

(The first car that I bought was a third hand that I got for around Rs 60,000. I got it with great difficulty. The door of the car didn’t open properly. I bought it specifically because I had to go to red carpets in an auto, or a bike and sometimes take a lift too.)

Moreover, the old car didn’t even function properly.

“The door didn’t open entirely. I didn’t know what set-up that was, I couldn’t open it. There was also a leakage when it rained on the driver’s seat, but I got used to it.”

And a decade later, the actor now has, not one, but many luxury cars in his name. He also owns India’s first McLaren GT worth Rs 4.5 crores which was gifted to him by producer Bhushan Kumar after the success of  ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’.
