People follow Bollywood celebrities fervently on social media. But when an issue crops up where the same celebrities take a stand, these followers get rude and post very hateful comments.
When Sanjay Leela Bhansali was assaulted on the sets of Padmavati, a lot of Bollywood celebrities stood up for Bhansali on social media.
Anurag Kashyap and Karan Johar also spoke up against the violence of Karni Sena strongly. And in the true fashion of Twitter trolling, a user went too far with his abuse.

While Twitter is famous for being not tasteful and civil, this reply was too low to let pass.
And Karan Johar gave a perfect reply to the Twitter troll –

It’s time trolls on Twitter got used to such replies from Bollywood celebrities so that they tone down their criticism or frustration to at least civil tones.
While Bollywood celebs do seem to not care about social issues, that does not mean they are not aware or cannot voice their opinion.
This kind of intolerance and trolling should not be encouraged.
