We all know that India is a land of diverse cultures, languages and traditions but it’s also a place full of desi quirks. There are a lot of things that happen just in India and you know we’ve accepted our weird selves. I mean SRK knew it before any of us-Â Jitna bhi tum samjhoge utni hogi hairani but you know what, phir bhi dil hai Hindustani!
Few people in Kanpur are having a little difficulty getting down from an escalator. The clip taken on the railway station shows people trying to descend an escalator going up.
Yep. The video shows some people who probably don’t know how to use it or couldn’t find the one going down and hence are trying insistently to use it.
The video has recently surfaced online and it shows a middle aged man and woman trying to go down the escalator the best they can. In fact after one person did it, others followed suit.
Yep. It happens only in India!

The video even shows that the lady tries her best to get down and then after a point just gives up as if she’s resigned to her faith that this is a task she can’t do!
Though it may seem funny when we see it, it’s important that we realise that these people may not know the working of an escalator and the railway authorities might want to consider having proper demarcation to show them how.
Kehta yeh pal, khud se nikal, neeche chal, neeche chal! (Geddit, geddit?! Okay, terrible joke. Sorry!)
