Here’s How Brilliantly India Carried Out It’s Biggest Foreign Rescue Operation ‘Rahat’

Yemen, tucked between Oman, Saudi Arabia and the Gulf of Aden, has become the latest conflict zone in the Middle East. After rescuing more than 3000 Indians from war-torn Yemen, India received requests from 26 other countries, including USA, France and Germany to help evacuate their citizens from Yemen.

The rescue operation rightly named as Operation Rahat – meaning relief, was brilliantly orchestrated by the Indian Navy, Indian Air Force and Air India. This is India’s biggest ever foreign rescue operation.

This video by CNN takes you behind-the-scenes and into the cockpit of the fighter planes used in the rescue mission. India stands prouder than ever after executing this humanitarian mission,  effectively rescuing almost 3700 Indians and 200 foreign nationals.

Here’s another video by BBC in which the rescued people express their gratitude after being evacuated from the war zone.
