‘Symbol Of My Roots’ Indian Student Studying In The UK Unfurls Tricolour During Convocation

Every year, thousands of Indian students travel abroad to pursue higher education at foreign universities. While studying in a foreign land helps them in exploring different cultures, it also gives them a global platform to represent their country. There are many students who have a profound sense of patriotism, untainted by foreign borders, and a strong desire to pay homage to their roots. And this Indian student did exactly that.

In a video that was shared by IAS officer Awanish Sharan, we see how an Indian student studying in a foreign institute unfurled the tricolour flag during his convocation ceremony when he was called up on stage.

The student featured in the video is Mahesh Narayan Trimukhe who went to the University of Salford in the UK to study business and law.

Sharing the video on Instagram he wrote, “From the land of traditions to the world of possibilities! 🌏🎓🇮🇳 As I graduate from this esteemed UK university, I hold the Indian flag high, a symbol of my roots and resilience. With gratitude in my heart and dreams in my eyes, I embark on a journey to make my mark on the global stage.”
