Despite the thunderous outpour of rain, it was an extraordinary moment in Indian football to see both the players and the fans light up the stadium with everything they’ve got.

However, the party was not over with the 90 minutes of action. What came next was equally electrifying and heartwarming.

Led by defender Sandesh Jhingan, the Indian team went to the sidelines in their attempt to pump up the fanatics at the stadium. Jhingan took centre stage and initiated a cheering session by putting his hands up and clapping. Every clap of his equally matched by the crowd with ear-splitting roars as we could smell a turning point in Indian football.

The Kerala blasters defender concluded the session by moving closer to the crowd and tapping the Indian crest with raging energy and passion.
