With so many brutal attacks which happen on innocent animals across the world, it is easy to think that the world is not a safe place for them. However, there are many who work towards helping animals to the best of their abilities, restoring our faith in mankind.
Four dolphins which had been trapped in a canal in Florida were rescued by people forming a human chain. According to sources, they used sounds and vibrations of the water to push them away from the canal and into the bay area.
The incident took place in St. Petersburg. The dolphins were stuck in the canal water for four days. Wildlife authorities waited to see if the dolphins could escape on their own. When they were unable to do so, the authorities made the plan of forming a human chain and signal the dolphins towards a nearby waterway –Â Riviera Bay.
“Using a human chain to create a visual barrier, the dolphins were able to overcome the canal bridges which were believed to be perceived as obstacles”, a statement from the Clearwater Marine Aquarium read.
A video shows how people formed a long chain stretching out to both sides of the canal. They walked towards the dolphins, clapping their hands on the water. Their signal helped them swim to the other side of the bridge.
